Tapas
According to legend, the King of Castile, Alfonso the Wise, became ill. Had it not been for a particularly new treatment, his severe illness would have killed him. This treatment, so ordered by the Kingdom's best physicians included: Drinking plenty of wine, and between sips, eating small portions of varied food. When the King recovered he posted a royal decree: From now on wine will not be served in all the Spanish taverns if not accompanied by small dishes: These dishes came to be known as "tapas".
Haute Cuisine
Highly acclaimed Chef Oren Giron is responsible for the culinary aspects at Maagalim. Chef Giron completed his studies (with honors) at the prestigious "Le Cordon Bleu" school and began his culinary career in 1996.
His talent and experience have made him a highly demanded culinary advisor in the field of haute cuisine cooking for various organizations. Currently he is head of the Culinary Center "Osim Bishool" (We are Cooking).
